Supporting New Initiatives

SCCM is seeking donors, sponsors and grantors to collaborate with us on a variety of ongoing and new initiatives and research. Our interest is broad, but key projects that will help us continue our mission to improve critical care worldwide include:

  • Sepsis Support in Resource-Limited Areas (Uganda project)
  • Patient & Family Outreach – SCCM is seeking to distribute its Patient Communicator App to a nationwide audience and implement several other focused patient and family outreach initiatives.
  • Pediatric Initiatives– Several initiatives are expanding their scope in the pediatric population, including the Surviving Sepsis Campaign and ICU Liberation Initiative
  • Quality Collaborations – SCCM seeks to expand its Quality Collaborative model to other areas of focus

WHY IT MATTERS

Critical care touches on nearly every aspect of health and medicine. Only through partnerships and collaborations can SCCM ensure that all dimensions of medical care are expertly addressed and coordinated to positively impact critically ill patients.

“Upon hearing news of the devastation that was left in the wake of Hurricane Maria, Allied Healthcare recognized the challenges Puerto Rico would be facing – specifically limited access to power and oxygen. We reached out to SCCM to join in disaster relief efforts and connect with the critical care community in Puerto Rico to distribute ventilators we donated for use in pediatric hospitals and clinics throughout the region.”
